Having recently been signed to Blossoms’ label ‘Very Clever Records’, new Stockport band on the scene Fuzzy Sun have a lot to live up to. Their four song EP Want Love is their first release on the label and showcases a sound rather reminiscent of their somewhat mentors Blossoms with a focus on synthesized melodies and funky 80s undertones, yet they manage to distance themselves from completely replicating the Blossoms signature sound with the likes of “After All This Time” bringing in such an authentic, upbeat yet melancholy musing to the table.
The five-piece describe themselves as providing a “journey through melodic pop”, which essentially is what you get with the Want Love EP. Ups and downs that surely signify what the band are all about, and without a doubt that journey through melodic pop has a long way to go after such success with this EP and a fantastic response from crowds during their support of Blossoms on their most recent tour. Give them a listen and you might just be able to catch them at The Gladstone Club, Northwich or Soup Kitchen, Manchester later this week – alternatively they will be playing plenty of festivals this summer, so take a look at the lineups and catch them before they shoot to fame!
In the meantime give Fuzzy Sun a follow on Twitter @FuzzySunBand and a like on Facebook @FuzzySun to keep up with the latest from them, and they’re keen to chat to their supporters so don’t be shy.
