Recent additions to the Communion roster, Gabriel And The Hounds, have today announced a string of debut UK dates. They’ll be performing at Manchester’s iconic Night & Day Cafe on March 1st.
Communion is the Mumford & Sons affiliated label responsible for bringing the likes of Ben Howard, Daughter, and BBC Sound Of 2012 winner Michael Kiwanuka to public attention.
Gabriel Levine, and his hounds, continue this reputation for exceptional talent. Debut album, Kiss Full Of Teeth is one of the best records we’ve heard this year. Gabriel’s tender vocals are backed by a lush brass backdrop provided by performers who’ve worked with Beirut, Tune-Yards, Bjork, and Jonsi. Bryan Devendorf of The National plays drums throughout too.
Seriously, it’ll be a great gig, and the album is fantastic. In the meantime you can download one of the debut’s stand-out tracks, The World Unfolds, below.
