The annual city centre festival Dot To Dot is just around the corner and with consecutive dates in Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham crowds around the country have a lot to look forward to. Dot To Dot has been known to showcase the best up and coming talent in recent years, in the past welcoming the likes of Sundara Karma, Dua Lipa and Blossoms, and this year is no different with the festival kicking off in Manchester with a stellar line-up.
English-Spanish good-feels providers Crystal Fighters headline this year’s event, no doubt armed with elctro-indie hits like “Plage” and “Boomin’ In Your Jeep”, bringing their A-game and summery, nostalgic sounds. Joining them will be the likes of indie favourites Swim Deep, The Night Café and The Orielles, staying on-brand with the up and coming feel of the festival, as well as Lauren Aquilina who previously toured with Taylor Swift, providing a new pop option as respite from the usual suspects, if you so need it.
A special mention is in need here for Manchester’s own Phoebe Green who will be playing this year’s festival as her career soars having recently supported Sundara Karma and had her brand new single “Dreaming Of” picked up by the likes of Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. She is a must see, if not a must listen, for an emotive, soulful, dream-like sound and should be caught whilst you can before her stardom really takes off.
With countless other performances available and some still to be announced, why wouldn’t you be at Dot To Dot 2019? The festival takes place all around Manchester City Centre on Friday 24th May and will grace several small venues such as the O2 Ritz and The Albert Hall to Soup Kitchen and Jimmy’s – creating the perfect mix of spaces in which to discover new musicians and experience your favourites concurrently. Tickets for Dot To Dot Festival Manchester 2019 are still available for the bargain price of £14 via the official Dot To Dot website, so really what are you waiting for?
