Telly-wise, you don’t get much more Northern than Shameless. Swaggering onto our screens back in 2004, it was the show that introduced us to Manchester’s finest family, the Gallaghers. Since we first met this boozed up, dysfunctional lot, we’ve followed them through many ups and many more downs – characters have come and gone and the show has become Channel 4’s longest running, multi-award winning programme. Not bad for a group who’s leader is a chain smoking drunk. Speaking of which, series 10 sees Frank face his biggest challenge yet – full time work.
