The emo, pop-punk celebration returns to Leeds’ Temple Newsam Park next month…
Festival season is nearly here and for emo and pop-punk fans, that means just one thing: the return of Slam Dunk Festival North.
This one-dayer, hosted at Leeds’ airy Temple Newsam Park, is an annual celebration of the past and future of this newly-resurgent music genre. It’s also a key date in the diary of Northerners who have followed it since the early noughties on battered MP3 players to its current, Spotify-ed iteration.
Leading the way this year is another dazzling line-up that combines well-known heavy hitters with a who’s-who of newcomers and a scattering of much-loved acts. Hertfordshire icons Enter Shikari join pop-punk veterans The Offspring for main stage headlining duty, with the likes of Less Than Jake, Creeper, The Menzingers, Bowling For Soup, Billy Talent, Yellowcard, Vukovi and many, many more acts joining them across multiple stages on Sunday, 28 May 2023.
Come to think of it, there are far too many great acts to mention in one tiny festival preview, which is why we’ve whipped up a NN Mix to help put you in the festival mood and prepare you for another sure-to-be-memorable day. To start listening, simply hit play below.
In the meantime, just a handful of tickets remain for Slam Dunk North 2023. Snap them up while you can.
