Cloudwater Brewery has announced its own alternative Oktoberfest celebration featuring four brand new lagers brewed especially for the occasions, alongside traditionally made pretzels, beer-themed events and bespoke glassware souvenirs.
Taking place between Monday September 27 until Sunday October 24 at their city-centre brew-room behind Piccadilly Station, the venue will be serving up some new German lagers including the malty Märzen, the darkly roasted Schwarzbier, a creamy wheat beer Weisse and fruity Hopfenweisse.
Meanwhile at the site’s sister venue by Victoria Station, Sadler’s Cat (formerly Pilcrow Pub), punters will find Katoberfest where they’ll find the same four brews alongside commemorative glassware celebrating the occasion.
German pretzels will be available at both venues as the perfect beer accompaniment, while Cloudwater’s original taproom space will host a range of events like guided beer guides and night-long takeovers from Edinburgh-based brewers Donzoko on October 1 and Devon’s Utopian on October 14.
