Michelin star chef Brad Carter is gearing up to launch a brand new bar specialising in Berlin street-style kebabs at Escape to Freight Island.
One Star Doner Bar will be launching at the Mayfield Depot-based hang out in early October, bringing with it an as-yet-undisclosed but sure to be interesting kebab menu with an award-winning twist.
In addition to being the recipient of a Michelin star, Carter is also the director of Carters of Mosley, an independent eatery with a focus on showcasing the best local and sustainably-sourced produce.
While the chef is currently keeping One Star Doner Bar’s menu close to his chest, fans can no-doubt expect a mixture of laid-back vibes and high-brow cuisine – similar to the other food vendors currently housed at Mayfield’s popular street food and drink hub.
