Manchester outfit Dutch Uncles are to once again whet the appetite of fans in the build-up to their full length album. The follow-up to previous single Fragrant is to be called Face In. The track is a further helping of skittish, forward thinking pop. Face In is perhaps Dutch Uncles at their least complicated. Or rather the complexity is below the surface with band’s pop nouse coming right to the fore. Precisely woven melodies and whip-smart guitar lines frame singer Duncan Wallis’ ruminations on the manipulations of friendship.
The five-piece are about to head back on the road, returning to their hometown on 21st May for the first ever Friends Of Mine Festival in the city. In the meantime we will be bringing you a live review next week as the Mancunians take on the big smoke next week with fellow city dwellers, Egyptian Hip Hop. Have a listen to previous single, Fragrant, below and let us know your thoughts on the band in the comments section.
